Really delicious home-style cooking and everything is freshly prepared here, the service staff is very friendly and they cater to all requests. Anyone who wants to eat good Baden food in Freiburg has come to the right place. In terms of price, I would say it is in the middle range, between 10-15 € for a main course, portions are also quite sufficient.

From our point of view, a visit is highly recommended. The staff was straightforward, well-groomed and nice. My friend and I found the selection of drinks not bad! The chairs are extremely comfortable and I think the distance between the tables is very adequate. There you in no way get the feeling of dining like fish in a can in the evening.

Bumped into this little restaurant by chance. Unfortunately, all the seats outside were already taken, but the innkeeper spared no effort and immediately had us set up a small table for two people. The service was extremely friendly and on the ball, the food was delicious. According to the innkeeper and my husband they have the best apple fritters far and wide ... Definitely to be recommended and we will be happy to come back when we are in the region. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Small, nice restaurant in the old town of Freiburg. With the car you have to park 10 minutes away in a multi-storey car park, in general neither parking nor driving in Freiburg is particularly nice and very expensive. The food is good, the price is okay. One steak wasn't done but was corrected. Staff are very nice, but busy, reordering sometimes took a while. We come here regularly for business lunch. The dishes are always top, and the changing menu of the day is always recommended. The friendly and attentive service rounds off the very positive overall impression. Tip: Make a reservation!

Amazing German traditional dishes. Its located in old part of the city and it just nice to sit there and have a dinner. We had one of the dishes with roast beef, pork cutlet and apple ring as a dessert. All of them were great. The staff is also pretty helpful and friendly!

It was a wonderful summer evening, you could look at people here very well, and there was a calm and relaxed atmosphere. There was an extra menu with chanterelle dishes to match the season. I ordered spaghetti with vegetables and chanterelles. All of this for a price that we in Düsseldorf can only dream of. There was also a so-called original drink. This is the name of a beer brewed according to an ancient recipe here in Schwabentörle. I have to say, very tasty and tasty! So it turned out to be two large tankards. The service was super friendly, everything was very clean and, as expected, the food was very good! I can definitely recommend the "Schwabentörle" to everyone who visits Freiburg!

The seating is extremely comfortable and I think the distance between the tables is particularly reasonable. There you don't get the feeling of dining like fish in a can in the back and front. I can really recommend this restaurant! The staff was quick, clean and friendly. My siblings and I were too present together and each of us has something other orders as far as I'm concerned can say that I tasted a pinch of each and everything was great.

I've been a regular here for years. Regardless of whether you want to drink a beer in good company, eat well or celebrate in a small group - it is possible in Schwabentörle. The food is always fresh and well prepared and at prices that you can hardly find in this location. The staff is always quick and competent.

I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation. There are seats inside and outside. The food we consumed was very tasty and of good portion size. The dishes with chanterelles currently offered on a special menu are also in no way inferior to this. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, we especially noticed a younger female waitress.

One of the oldest bars in Freiburg has not lost its charm despite its long history. Super nice owner who attaches great importance to values, humanity and personal relationship with his guests. Beautiful interior, very central, no Turi trap, super good food and the service is extremely nice. When we got in we asked for a place; it was said that there would be none within 20 minutes ... When we were actually on our way to another establishment, the innkeeper stormed out of the house and told us that there was still a place ... me have never met such nice people! The food was legendary!

Traditional food in a traditional setting. If you want to be sure of a table it's best to reserve. Otherwise you can be seated at the bar if there are places left.

Really nice place. Here you can find a typical German cousine and some nice variation. Staff super kind and client friendly(they have menu in many languages even though it is just small restourant) and prices super honest compared to quality. At the end of the menù there is a small description and history of every dish. That was very nice idea and I appreciate it a lot

We had to sit at the bar to eat which was absolutely no problem! Käse Spätzle was very very nice. If the place is packed look for somewhere to sit. Worth it

This is a traditional German restaurant, in a cosy atmosphere, a must go for both tourists and local people. My experience was very positive. Food was excellent, but you must of course like German food, mostly meat-centered. I suggest a visit to this place if you want to feel the local taste of food.

If you are searching for an authentic German experience, where locals love to go, you found the right place! Food is slightly above average but really good quality. Don't be disappointed if you don't get a place on the weekends- just try your luck :)
